Living Area Luxury Vinyl Plank in a Villa · The Villages, FL
A villa built after 2000 in The Villages, with carpet in the living and dining area and ceramic tile at the front door. We replaced both with 5.5 mm waterproof luxury vinyl plank with a 20 up to 28 mil wear layer, 7" x 48", running the same plank through the whole living area so there are no thresholds to trip over. How an Installation Works, Start to Finish
Here is how a job goes, from the driveway to the last piece of trim. The old floor comes up and goes out to our truck. We check and prep the slab, because a floor is only as flat as what is under it. The planks lock together row by row, and the baseboards go on last so the trim sits cleanly on the new floor. Before any of that, we bring the samples to your home and measure, so nothing on installation day comes as a surprise.

How long does a project like these take?
A single room usually takes one day. A whole home of about 1,500 square feet typically takes two to three days for luxury vinyl plank. Floor tile takes longer — plan on three to five days, because every piece is cut on site and the floor has to set before furniture goes back.
Do you remove and haul away the old floor?
Yes. Removal and disposal of old carpet, laminate, and vinyl are included in your written quote — we take it with us when we go. Removing old ceramic tile or hardwood is the exception: it's heavier, dustier, and slower work, so we price it separately and show you the number before any work starts.
Do you move the furniture?
Yes. Our crew moves your furniture, installs the floor, and puts everything back where it was. You don't need to empty the house before we get there. Let us know at the in-home measurement if anything is fragile, oversized, or needs to stay in one room, and we'll plan the job around it.
